TYPO3 Community August 2012
In the month of August the budget applications were submitted, a Phoenix Sprint Release was done, the TYPO3 4.x branch had two updates, the T3CON12 Paper Voting Results were announced, there was a FLOW3 1.0.6 and a FLOW3 1.1.0 release and we had the first beta release of TYPO3 version 6.0.

TYPO3camp Mallorca
TYPO3camp Mallorca is the first international TYPO3camp. This year there are already 7 TYPO3camps in Germany and these initiatives are spreading.
Recap TYPO3 Conference in Asia
T3CON12 ASIA, Asia's first TYPO3 conference took place in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, from 17 - 19 August 2012. More than 20 talks provided an insight into web and mobile technology, IT Business Best Practices and featured the powerful TYPO3 CMS and its community.
Phoenix Code Sprint Live
The Phoenix Code Sprint in Copenhagen started in full force this Tuesday. Monday was used to prepare things for the sprint with 6 people who already arrived on Sunday.

TYPO3 Phoenix and FLOW3 - August 2012
In August FLOW3 1.1 was released - so now there is no excuse anymore not to use the latest and greatest version of the framework. Work on Phoenix proceeded as well, to lay a nice foundation for the September code sprint in Copenhagen.
Nominations for the EAB / BCC positions
Since 2011 the Association created two important committes: The Business Control Committee (BCC) and the Expert Adisory Board (EAB). Both committes are elected by the members of the TYPO3 Association - that is you!
Release of TYPO3 version 6.0 beta1
The TYPO3 Community has been buzzing with activity the last few weeks, peaking the last 7 days. One reason for this rush in activity is the switch in the TYPO3 Core to support and use PHP 5.3 namespaces like FLOW3. This was an important reason the original release date for the first beta of TYPO3 6.0 was postponed about two weeks.
Phoenix Code Sprint Copenhagen
From September 3 until September 9 a code sprint will be held in Copenhagen to work on the first version of what we still call Phoenix. Phoenix is the next generation CMS built upon our newly developed PHP framework FLOW3.
