TYPO3 Mentorship Program 2021
The aim of the TYPO3 International Mentorship Program is to expand the reach of TYPO3 CMS, to grow the community and market. The coordinating committee conducted a successful pilot program in 2020, supporting young web developers from five countries to make their first steps into the TYPO3 world.

In 2020—we, as the Marketing Team—decided and announced that we wanted to focus on creating a variety of fact and figure-based materials, which should help agencies sell TYPO3 better. Our biggest project was to create the Comparison Cards, comparing TYPO3 to the most popular alternatives on the market.

By night, Andri Steiner is the TYPO3 Server Team Lead, where he focuses on hosting and configuring servers, and keeping the community’s digital infrastructure up-(to-date) and running. By day, he’s a CTO and Partner at Ops One, living and working in Zürich, Switzerland, where, he says, “We do our own web applications, like backends for mobile apps, or usual websites or whatever our customers want us for.”

Mathias Schreiber’s journey to become the CEO of the TYPO3 GmbH was not especially purposeful, but that’s part of what makes it so fascinating. He talks about how he first became aware of TYPO3, participating in the open source community, his abrupt transition to CEO, and the values that guide the TYPO3 GmbH today.
