TYPO3 CMS 6.1.0 Beta 1 released

After a long weekend for a lot of contributors and some cool improvements the TYPO3 world has one more TYPO3 release - CMS 6.1 Beta 1. The feature freeze for the upcoming version has now been reached.

TYPO3 Community February 2013

In the month of February the infamous TYPO3 Snowboard Tour took place in Zell am See, the Neos core team met in Lübeck for a code-sprint and planning the next steps towards the 1.0 release of Neos. The first code sprint of this year was done by the extbase team and the online election for the Expert Advisory Board and the Business Control Committee was approved.

Coding for a better 6.1 in Bochum - FAL Code Sprint

Last Thursday to sunday, the community had two code sprints - one was about the typo3.org website, and one was centered around the current implementation of the File Abstraction Layer (short: FAL), shipped with TYPO3 CMS 6.0, set in Bochum, Germany.

What did the guys do at the last typo3.org code sprint?

From March 21 -24 we dedicated another sprint to typo3.org. There is a solid core of people present every time at these typo3.org sprints and we have found a comfortable mode working on typo3.org since the relaunch one year ago almost to this day.

TYPO3 CMS Agenda: More long-term support

In a year from now, TYPO3 4.5 LTS was originally planned to reach end of life. The TYPO3 Core Team is pleased to announce the schedule for the upcoming TYPO3 releases including the next release with Long Term Support (LTS). Additionally, the lifetime of TYPO3 4.5 LTS will be extended.

TYPO3 CMS 6.1 Alpha 1 released

The first and only alpha version of TYPO3 CMS 6.1 has been released today. The final release is scheduled for late April 2013.

TYPO3camp Venlo

It was the first TYPO3camp this year and the first TYPO3camp in the Netherlands, ever, taking place this weekend in Venlo. Close to the German and Belgian border it brought a lot of attendants from both countries. Besides that the Romanian presence really gave the event, with 86 attendants, an international feel.
