Meet TYPO3 at EU Open Source Policy Summit

The EU Open Source Policy Summit 2027 brings together EU and national policymakers, Members of the European Parliament, industry representatives, public sector experts, and open source professionals to discuss open source in EU policy. This edition focuses on implementing the EU Open Source Strategy, with public procurement, funding and sustainability of the open source ecosystem, and open hardware as priorities. The event takes place in Brussels, Belgium, alongside FOSDEM and can also be attended online.

The organizer, OpenForum Europe (OFE) is a not-for-profit, independent think tank based in Brussels and registered as a Belgian international non-profit association. It explains the merits of openness in computing to policymakers and communities across Europe and works on open technologies and digital sovereignty.

Public procurement and the long-term sustainability of open source projects are topics that directly affect TYPO3 as an open source content management system used in the public sector. The summit offers an opportunity to exchange knowledge with policymakers and other open source communities working on the regulatory framework for open source.
