Announcing a Third Election Round for the TYPO3 Association Board
Since none of the remaining candidates achieved 50% of the votes in the second round, members are asked to vote in a final round. If the necessary support is not reached, the election for the third position will be considered unsuccessful.
As Matt Raines has withdrawn his candidacy, four candidates remain on the ballot. If none of the candidates achieve 50% of the vote in the third round, the election for the third position will be considered unsuccessful.
Voting in the third round ends 14 April 2026, 23:59 CEST.
In case the election for this seventh board member is unsuccessful, the Board will have six members, the minimum number allowed by the bylaws. The Board will look at ways to improve the voting procedure to prevent such situations in the future.
Results of the Second Round
The election closed at midnight, 7 April 2026. Of the 1117 eligible voters, 421 took part in the election. This is a 38% participation rate. Each voter was able to give one vote.

Third and Final Election Round
As of last year, bylaws require that a candidate receives at least 50% of votes cast. Therefore, a third round will be needed to elect the final new board member.
If no candidate secures 50% of the vote in the third round, the election for the third position will be deemed unsuccessful.
New voting tokens were sent out to members during the afternoon, 8 April 2026. The voting will remain open until 14 April 2026, 23:59 CEST.
