TYPO3 University Days 2026: Universities and Agencies Meet in Erfurt, Germany
Have you heard of the TYPO3 University Days? TYPO3 enthusiasts from the university sector will be meeting up on 15-16 September, 2026 at the University of Erfurt. Sessions are held in German.
The conference brings together TYPO3 professionals from higher education institutions, agencies, and service providers to exchange practical experience, discuss current developments, and build new connections within the TYPO3 community.
Even if your university’s CMS is not TYPO3, the TYPO3 University Days are the right place to start. Every university is different, but we share our passion for TYPO3 and are always open to meeting new people and collaborating. You can meet other administrators, developers, and TYPO3 editors, and engage in interesting talks and discussions. Get to know other university employees and TYPO3 professionals, and ask your questions.
Now in its eleventh year, for the first time, five Thuringian universities are joining forces to host the event. The University of Erfurt will serve as the venue, supported by Bauhaus University Weimar, Erfurt University of Applied Sciences, Ernst Abbe University of Applied Sciences Jena, and Ilmenau University of Technology.

Two Days of Practical Insights and Exchange
The TYPO3 University Days are aimed at editors, developers, administrators, project managers, web and digital professionals, and agencies working on TYPO3 projects in the higher education sector.
The program addresses many of the challenges currently facing universities and their technical partners. Sessions include topics such as:
- TYPO3 in everyday university operations
- Relaunch projects and technical migrations
- Digital accessibility
- Automated translations
- Study program filters and structured information services
- Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)
- The new Government Site Builder
- Website archiving and long-term maintainability
The presentations will be complemented by a panel discussion and a world café. Plenty of time has also been reserved for informal conversations, discussions about ongoing projects, and networking among universities, agencies, and TYPO3 specialists.

Please note that all presentations will be held in German.
Book Your Ticket by 31 August
Tickets can be booked until 31 August 2026. The regular participation fee is €100. Institutions with a TYPO3 Academic Membership benefit from a reduced ticket price of €75.
The ticket includes access to both conference days, the evening event, and drinks and snacks during the conference.
Other events are taking place in Erfurt at the same time, and some hotels are already fully booked or have limited availability. Participants are therefore advised to reserve accommodation as soon as possible.
Sponsorship Opportunities for Agencies and Service Providers
The TYPO3 University Days offer agencies and companies an opportunity to present their expertise in the higher education sector and connect directly with university web professionals and decision-makers.
The Patron package, including the main sponsorship, and all Booth packages, have already been allocated. Six Gold sponsorship packages are still available at €700 each, plus VAT.
The Gold package includes:
- Placement of the sponsor’s logo on the conference website
- Permission to use the TYPO3 University Days event logo in the sponsor’s own communications
- One conference ticket
- One ticket for the evening event
Packages are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

On-Site TYPO3 Certification Exams
After the official closing session on 16 September, participants will have the opportunity to take a TYPO3 certification exam on site, starting at 14:30.
Exams are offered for:
- TYPO3 CMS Certified Integrator
- TYPO3 CMS Certified Consultant
- TYPO3 CMS Certified Developer
- TYPO3 CMS Certified Editor
Participants interested in taking an exam are encouraged to reserve their certification slot early.

The TYPO3 University Days provide a platform for universities, agencies, and service providers to share practical knowledge and develop sustainable solutions for digital higher education.
