Change in the Marketing team
With the first half of 2014 coming to an end, I looked back to the progress of the marketing team during the past six months. What I saw was not promising: There have been meetings, discussions, plans and work, but almost no results. Results in the sense of achievements in the market. While every member of the marketing team did what they could, I felt there was far too little output compared to the amount of hours invested. I decided for myself that continuing like this is not an option, neither is stepping down.
Marketing Team Meeting January, 22nd
Last week the marketing team met for the first time in 2014 for a live meeting. Besides our monthly virtual meetings, the marketing team also meets some four times a year to connect in the real world.
TYPO3 on Cebit 2014 – Support Now!
Like in 2013 TYPO3 will engage itself in CMS Garden for the coming year. As a matter of fact CMS Garden has it’s roots in the TYPO3 community as an idea that came up to support Open Source at CeBIT with the decreasing Open Source sponsoring from CeBIT itself.
Marketing Sprint 2013: Strategy Workshop
As you may know there have been several changes to the marketing team in the past few months. Kian Gould, who was marketing leader for several years, resigned and Peter Pröll, Eike Diestelkamp, Frederic Gaus left as well. That means we are now a group of 5 members : Berit Hlubek (Co-Lead), Boris Hinzer, Christian Händel, Ben van ’t Ende and Alain Veuve (Leader).
Marketing Sprint 2013: Communication Workshop
The TYPO3 Marketing sprint started last Monday with a two day communication workshop, attended by around 16 people. The workshop was organised to gain a better understanding of communication in an Open Source community and to find ways of improving that communication.
Marketing Team Meeting October 15th
Yesterday the marketing team had a real life meeting in Wiesbaden. The major goal was to plan the different days of the upcoming marketing sprint which will take place between the 18th and 24th of November 2013.
