For those of you who want to relive the festivities, or learn more about what took place over the three-day conference, this recap will highlight T3CON25’s most memorable moments.

Day 1: Attendees Gather, Exciting Talks, and a New Version Launch!

The action began on Tuesday, 26 November with this year’s host, Jeury Tavares welcoming the audience to the event from this year’s Core Stage. His introduction was followed by a welcome speech by TYPO3 Association President Olivier Dobberkau who shared his excitement about how many people were gathered and what lay ahead.

The day’s sessions began with insightful keynotes from Janus Boye on understanding the content management marketplace, and Anja Scharfenberg speaking from the Extension Stage about Schleswig-Holstein’s successful digitalization. The talks on the Core Stage were part of the recertification initiative offered for Day 1, where attendees could re-certify during T3CON.

From a talk by Andreas Wolf on best practices, to Wolfgang Wagner’s news for integrators about v13 LTS, and the TYPO3 Company’s very own Luisa Sofie Faßbender and Myrna Gönnemann highlighting the year that was for TYPO3, and highlighting the importance of active contributions to open source projects in order to keep them viable long-term, the day was packed with insightful talks.

A New Layout and Great Sponsors

This year’s conference layout emphasized interaction between attendees. With booths taking up the sides of the main hall and a common area in between both sides for attendees, sponsors, and exhibitors to connect, network, and share ideas.

This year's conference was powered by ERGO by Lüftner and Parili, with Partner Sponsors +Pluswerk AG, mittwald, CKEditor, adesso, and Materna

The T3CON25 Community Day was sponsored by mittwald and TEAM23, with the Booth Crawl event being supported by +Pluswerk AG. Finally, beyond tellerrand served as T3CON's event sponsor for this year's edition of the conference.

More Keynotes and The Much Anticipated v14 Release

The day wrapped up with more recertification talks on the Core Stage, with Jigal van Hemert’s ‘What if? Imagine You Could Use All of TYPO3!”, and Fee Kalter on the Extension Stage delivering two German-language talks, one dedicated to the future of work, and the other covering diversity in the workplace.

To cap the day’s keynotes, TYPO3 Core Lead, Benni Mack, spoke to a full Core Stage, announcing the release of v14 and sharing the most important new features in TYPO3’s latest version, along with insights on what’s still to come in each subsequent release until LTS next year. The excitement was palpable in the audience, with not an empty seat to be found, and much anticipation related to what the future holds for the product we all love.

mittwald closed the day’s activities with a special Power Point Karaoke session that offered plenty of fun and a good time for those in attendance and was hosted by Martin Helmich, Hannes Strangmeier and Mathias Bolt Lesniak.

Day 2: A Captivating Solutions Day with Discussions about GSB, AI, and The Workplace of Tomorrow

The conference continued on Wednesday with Solution Day. The day focused on practical applications of TYPO3, helping attendees understand how the CMS is making a difference, being used at scale, and why it’s a platform of choice for complex digital environments. Anja von Klitzing returned to T3CON to deliver another round of impressive graphic recordings for this year’s conference, giving an artistic touch to the conference’s keynotes.

TYPO3 Company CEO, Daniel Fau, began the day’s keynotes with an important update on Government Site Builder (GSB) 11, informing guests of the status of the project, available resources, and the reasoning behind the development. The talk was followed by a panel discussion on the same topic for additional dialogue, this time in German.

The day’s talks on both stages focused on future-facing trends and topics pertaining to the community, ranging from Cyril Wolfangel’s talk on leveraging semantic analytics for advanced SEO, to Joost de Valk’s talk on marketing in the era of AI and regulation, to Martin Helmich covering the topic of AI in his session.

Understandably, AI was a recurring topic throughout the day, with a talk from Tristan Post on the subject, along with a panel discussion centering on AI in marketing and SEO approaching the matter from different angels.

Beyond AI, there were several other important topics covered, ranging from the CKEditor team introducing the CKEditor Pack for enhanced content creation, and Florian Froidevaux sharing lessons on in2code’s journey from pure client work to product building, and Ric van Westhreenen’s session on content security and access control.

Earlier in the day, toujou’s Viviane Gebelein discussed how we can rethink TYPO3 as a standardized SaaS solution, Marc Willmann of F7 Media showcased user-friendly solutions for increasing efficiency in TYPO3 instances, and the +Pluswerk team shared how using the Happy Path method on a recent project transformed complexity into focus, delivering real results.

The day closed with Markus Wachovius’ talk on how Europe can reclaim its technological independence, and Olivier Dobberkau’s session on how Apache Solr’s new vector database is transforming enterprise search.

Once the sessions were done for the day, attendees were treated to a Booth Crawl sponsored by +Pluswerk which offered a great opportunity for connecting over some beverages well into the evening.

Day 3: T3CON Winds Down Strong with Agency Day, Featuring More Exciting Talks

T3CON25’s final day, named Agency Day, was dedicated to those who use TYPO3 to run their business. The day’s sessions covered a wide variety of important topics, from leadership, to marketing, SEO, and AI, along with valuable information on optimizing sales funnels and building strong teams that can excel in challenging market conditions.

Jeury Tavares once again set the tone for the day with a warm welcome to attendees in his opening speech on the Core Stage, which was followed by the much anticipated keynote by Crowd Favorite CEO Karim Marucchi titled, Why 2026 Could Spark Europe’s Open Source Renaissance and Sovereign Enterprise Future.

The Core Stage featured follow up keynotes by Peter Pröll who shared insights on organizational resilience and management best practices, while Lisa Mo Wagner shared her thoughts on why we shouldn’t outsource our thinking to AI. Before the lunch break, Marco Klawonn of Shopify discussed the importance of content in e-commerce and how treating product lists as static pages is a flawed approach.

On the Extension Stage, Claudio Zeni and Stefan Barac of Incluthon offered powerful insights into the world of digital accessibility and guided their audience on how to avoid the biggest pitfalls in delivering inclusive web experiences. Florian Weiss of SkillDisplay made the case for smart training and organizational learning, while Maxim Abrams offered valuable information on how TYPO3 aAgencies win tenders and why participation is a worthwhile investment.

After a lunch break and Lightning Talk, the final rounds of talks commenced with Mathias Bolt Lesniak and Jeffrey A. McGuire discussing the topic of digital sovereignty by design, and Christian Lammers of nexum AG shed light on the importance of new value creation in the age of AI. In the final talk on the Extension Stage, Joachim Nickel of chop solutions GmbH explored how to do analytics the right way, providing an overview of typical management problems and solutions for them.

This year’s keynotes came to a close with three final sessions, the first by Mautic’s Ruth Cheesley, who shared a roadmap for going from vendor lock-in to marketing sovereignty, while the last two were from TYPO3 Company representatives. First, Luisa Sofie Faßbender delivered the annual ‘Current State of TYPO3’ keynote, and Daniel Fau wrapped up this year’s T3CON proceedings on an optimistic note with ‘TYPO3 on Firm Ground: Poised to Capitalize on Commercial Opportunities’.

The curtains closed on what was a truly memorable event that wouldn’t have been possible without the active support of all attendees and the wider TYPO3 and open source community, as well as our sponsors, whose trust and backing made this year’s event a reality.

The stage was set for the annual TYPO3 Awards Gala. The entire community put on their best outfits and got ready to spend the evening celebrating the success of their peers as we honored the most impressive projects, extensions, and personalities from around the TYPO3 world. The awards ceremony was once again hosted by Emily Whigham and Matt Beadle who delivered their lively and engaging commentary throughout the evening.

The beverages were flowing, the music featured a trip back to the 80s and 90s with a Sting/The Police cover band, Regatta de Blanc, and the delicious food kept everyone entertained.

On the award stage, the winners were previous award recipients who continue to deliver great work for their clients, along with newcomers who made their mark on the scene. A special congratulations goes to Cyberhouse GmbH for their exceptional work, winning the Website of the Year award for their PORR Group project.

Once the awards had been handed out and the personalities paid their due honors, the attendees were invited to the after awards party, where they were able to celebrate their success and have a fun evening alongside the rest of the community.

Beyond the conference and gala, there were other inspiring actions that reflect TYPO3’s engagement with the wider tech ecosystem. Specifically, BabesGotBytes, a non-profit which aims to support women and girls in underserved communities who are learning to code, received a donation of over 3.000 Euros from the Presidents’ Dinner and one of our speakers. We extend our gratitude to everyone who contributed to the cause.

We thank our hosts, and Carsten Siewert for organizing such a memorable evening.
