Results of the 2026 TYPO3 Association Elections

When the election closed, more than 380 members had cast their votes. This is an 18% increase from 2025. Another voting round will take place to select the final board member.

Jochen Weiland was elected and Stefan Busemann reelected to the Board. Stefanie Vetr is joining the Business Control Committee (BCC) as a new member, while Ingo Schmitt was reelected. Congratulations!

As no third candidate received the necessary 50% of the votes, members will be invited to participate in a second voting round 31 March 2026.

Thanks to New and Old

While congratulating the election winners, I would also like to give a big thank-you to the other nominees. Even though you didn’t make it this round, your participation as a candidate is important. You made this election a truly democratic event with real choices. Please consider repeating your candidacy for next year’s TYPO3 Association elections.

Second Election Round

As of last year, bylaws require that a candidate receives at least 50% of votes cast. Therefore, a second round will be needed to elect the third new board member.

New voting tokens will be sent out to members during the evening of 31 March 2026. The voting will remain open until 7 April 2026, 23:59 CEST.

If no candidate reaches the required number of votes during this round, a third round will take place 8–13 April 2026. If no candidate reaches the requirement in this round, the election for this position will be declared unsuccessful. As a result, the Board will have six members, the minimum number allowed by the bylaws.

The Board will look at ways to improve the voting procedure to prevent such situations in the future.

Business Control Committee Election Results
