The TYPO3 CMS versions 6.1 and 4.7 have reached their end of life in October 2014. Their latest versions are 4.7.20 and 6.1.12 which were released two weeks ago mark the last ones in these branches.

Insights from the TYPO3 CMS Active Contributor Meetup in Munich
The TYPO3 CMS Active Contributors met for the third time in Munich from September 8 - 10. The meeting took place right after the famous TYPO3 Camp Munich. The last ACME took place in Nuremberg in April 2014.

TYPO3 CMS 6.1 released
In the last five months the TYPO3 community has worked on the next TYPO3 release - TYPO3 CMS 6.1 - which was published today. It is a continuous improvement over the previous version, targeting stability over new features, and polishing the previously introduced functionalities.
TYPO3 CMS Code sprint "Extension" 4th to 7th April 2013 in Wiesbaden
During 4th to 7th April another code sprint happened with a group of people taking care of the "extension" topic for the TYPO3 CMS core. This time AOE Media in Wiesbaden was our hoster and provided everything we needed to keep us busy on coding stuff. TYPO3 CMS 6.1.0 Beta 1 released
After a long weekend for a lot of contributors and some cool improvements the TYPO3 world has one more TYPO3 release - CMS 6.1 Beta 1. The feature freeze for the upcoming version has now been reached.
Coding for a better 6.1 in Bochum - FAL Code Sprint
Last Thursday to sunday, the community had two code sprints - one was about the typo3.org website, and one was centered around the current implementation of the File Abstraction Layer (short: FAL), shipped with TYPO3 CMS 6.0, set in Bochum, Germany.
TYPO3 CMS 6.1 Alpha 1 released
The first and only alpha version of TYPO3 CMS 6.1 has been released today. The final release is scheduled for late April 2013.
