TYPO3 Community March 2013

The event season started again with CMS-garden at CeBIT in Hannover and the first TYPO3camp of the year in Venlo, The Netherlands and there were two code sprints. We have a lot of exciting events coming up this year.

Inspring Flow conference starting next week

The biggest conference dedicated to the new family members of the TYPO3 project, Neos and Flow, is taking place next week.

TYPO3 Community February 2013

In the month of February the infamous TYPO3 Snowboard Tour took place in Zell am See, the Neos core team met in Lübeck for a code-sprint and planning the next steps towards the 1.0 release of Neos. The first code sprint of this year was done by the extbase team and the online election for the Expert Advisory Board and the Business Control Committee was approved.

What did the guys do at the last typo3.org code sprint?

From March 21 -24 we dedicated another sprint to typo3.org. There is a solid core of people present every time at these typo3.org sprints and we have found a comfortable mode working on typo3.org since the relaunch one year ago almost to this day.

TYPO3camp Venlo

It was the first TYPO3camp this year and the first TYPO3camp in the Netherlands, ever, taking place this weekend in Venlo. Close to the German and Belgian border it brought a lot of attendants from both countries. Besides that the Romanian presence really gave the event, with 86 attendants, an international feel.

TYPO3 Community January 2013

At the beginning of 2013 the Expert Advisory Board decided about the budget and gave an explanation about the allocation of the budgets for 2013. The budget allocation for the Neos project was re-discussed after initially being rejected by the team. A solution was found by allocating budget to work-packages that will drive the development of TYPO3 Neos.

TYPO3 Community November - December 2012

At the end of the year the focus on customer projects is usually high and community activity traditionally a little lower. Activity on Flow and Neos slowed down at the end of 2012, but a major new version of TYPO3 CMS was released at the end of November. There were quite some code sprints, a TYPO3camp and a few other TYPO3 related events. The budget discussions were quite prevalent these last two months and a number of positions in the TYPO3 Association came up for re-election.

The Marketing Team in 2012

The marketing team has stepped up activity in 2012 and has regular online meetings and 2 or 3 live meetings a year. The main achievement of this year was the relaunch of typo3.org on april 2nd of this year.

Open Source CMS's together at CeBIT 2013

CMS-GARDEN will be the place where the most relevant Open Source Content Management Systems will present themselves side by side.
