Documentation has converged
Although the migration of the TYPO3 CMS documentation to ReStructured Text cannot be considered fully complete, the convergence with Neos and Flow has become reality.
Announcing TER cleanup process
Everybody recognizes this situation: you're looking for an extension with a certain functionality and after you've installed it all kinds of errors appear about missing functions or even worse, you only see a blank page. Further investigation shows that the extension isn't compatible with your TYPO3 version. For a long time extensions can set the TYPO3 version(s) they are compatible with. Unfortunately not many extension authors use that setting. You could take a look at the date of publication, but even that won't be a sure sign.

TYPO3 CMS 6.1 - Improve
The upcoming release, TYPO3 CMS 6.1, will be a small increase by going further on the way that 6.0 paved for the future. The base tone for 6.1 is therefore simple called "Improve."
Neos and Flow team waive TYPO3 Association budget
About a week ago we were briefed by the TYPO3 Association's EAB on the 2013 budget for the Neos and Flow project. The budget was reduced by 50% compared to the original application. Although this decision is a sharp break per se, the more difficult implications arise from the conditions and expectations which are bound to the allowed funds.
