SUMMARY:Digital Commons Policy Summit
DESCRIPTION:The Digital Commons Policy Summit 2026 takes place in Brussels,
  Belgium. The summit addresses the implementation of the EU Tech Sovereignt
 y Package and the role of Digital Commons in the European Open Internet Sta
 ck. It is aimed at policymakers, regulators, funders, academics, and open-s
 ource practitioners working on digital sovereignty and commons-based infras
 tructure in Europe.\n\nThe event is organized by the NGI Commons consortium
 , in collaboration with the European Commission. NGI Commons develops a lon
 g-term strategy for Digital Commons in support of Europe's technological so
 vereignty and works to improve the coherence and sustainability of Digital 
 Commons funding. The project is funded under the EU's Horizon Europe progra
 m.\n\nThe summit includes a dedicated session on funding and sustainability
  for open digital commons, bringing together European policymakers, funders
 , and practitioners active in this area. This provides an opportunity for k
 nowledge exchange on funding and policy questions relevant to open-source p
 rojects such as TYPO3.\n\nTYPO3 Compliance Officer Rachel Foucard will atte
 nd the summit and speak in Session 5, Securing the Future Funding Landscape
 : Lessons Learned from Commoners on Accessing and Leveraging Funding and Su
 pport in Europe.
