Preparing for TYPO3 v14 LTS: Consultant Certification Task Force Advances into 2026

The TYPO3 CMS Certified Consultant Task Force wrapped up 2025 with an intensive sprint in Hannover, laying the groundwork for the upcoming TYPO3 v14 LTS certification. As TYPO3 v14 LTS is scheduled for release in April 2026, the team is working proactively to ensure consultants can confidently support clients with the latest TYPO3 features and best practices.

Pre-Christmas Sprint: Building the Future of TYPO3 Certification

On December 12-13, 2025, the TYPO3 CMS Certified Consultant Task Force met at the offices of wendweb in Hannover, Germany, for a focused two-day sprint. The team consisted of:

This pre-Christmas gathering concentrated on advancing the certification program on multiple fronts. The team began preparing the certification for TYPO3 v14 LTS, ensuring that consultants will have access to up-to-date training materials when the LTS version launches in April 2026. Additionally, the task force expanded the question pool with new content, including updates that benefit the current TYPO3 v13 certification.

Strengthening the Certification Framework

Beyond exam content development, the team explored ways to improve internal workflows and certification management. This included conceptualizing tools to streamline question pool management and syllabus maintenance across task forces — experimental approaches that could enhance quality and efficiency as the certification program continues to grow.

The sprint demonstrated the task force's commitment to maintaining high professional standards while adapting to TYPO3's evolution.

Community Spirit: Work and Celebration

Of course, no pre-Christmas sprint would be complete without some festive cheer. The team took time to explore Hannover's Christmas markets, balancing productive work sessions with community bonding — a perfect reminder of what makes the TYPO3 community special.
