The release timeline for TYPO3 4.0 has been updated in order to have a final release together with the launch of the new corporate design.
TYPO3 4.0 Beta 3
As some of you have noticed in the core-list [1]/[2], the TYPO3 development team has been very active during the last weeks. The result of this is TYPO3 4.0beta3 - a beta release that contains a lot of bug fixes and some major new features.
LAUNCH-OF-THE-NEW-EXTENSION-REPOSITORY: Launch of the new extension repository
After more than one year of hard work I am glad to announce the launch of TER2, our new extension repository. But that's not all: At the same time an improved and redesigned version of TYPO3.org goes online.

TYPO3 4.0 Beta 2
TYPO3 4.0 marks the fourth major release of TYPO3. It enhances and extends functionality and usability for TYPO3 users and developers. In the second beta release, a lot of bugs from the first beta were fixed.
CSS styled IMGTEXT - Part4

Frontline Update
The Content Rendering Group (CRG) appears to be less active lately; at least that's what Marc Wöhlken (author of Advanced HTML Cleaner ? qcom_htmlcleaner) believed. The last article in the CRG's TYPO3.org page was posted several months ago, so it's understandable that people have this impression. Marc's email reminded me to give all you good folks an update of what is going on... and things are going on!
